Angelino strikes late in 1-1 draw with Freiburg
Even encounter in the race for the top four | Demirovic hands Freiburg first-half lead (38') | Angelino nets deserved equaliser in the 90th minute
The battle for Champions League qualification rages on!
As close as RB Leipzig and SC Freiburg are in the table was just how closely fought the first half was in Saturday's Bundesliga clash at the Red Bull Arena. Goal-mouth action was few and far between, that is until Ermedin Demirovic suddenly appeared one-on-one with Péte Gulácsi and chipped the RBL goalkeeper to leave the hosts trailing 1-0 at the break.
The rhythm of the game didn't alter much after the change of ends, with Leipzig continuing to probe against a well organised SCF defence with little success. The pressure was ramped up in the closing stages as the visitors began to tire, and a powerful low shot from Angelino in the 90th minute found the bottom corner to secure a deserved draw.
The point sees RB Leipzig defend fourth place in the table, keeping them on course for Champions League qualification!

First-half highlights:
1st minute:
Referee Felix Zwayer gets us underway. Auf geht's, Leipzig!
11th minute:
The first chance of the game falls to Freiburg's Nico Schlotterbeck. His driven shot from around 20 yards is tricky for Péte Gulácsi to hold on to, but he is able to gather the ball at the second attempt.
15th minute:
RBL work the ball around in the final third before a cross is met by Yussuf Poulsen, but his header is easy enough for Mark Flekken to save.
33rd minute:
Schlotterbeck tries to wrestle Poulsen down on the halfway line, but the Dane shakes him off and sends Christo Nkunku in behind the backline. He goes for a chip with Flekken closing him down, but he gets hold of it too much and the ball clears both goalkeeper and crossbar.
38th minute, GOAL for SC Freiburg:
The visitors take the lead from nothing. A pass takes an unlucky deflection off Amadou Haidara and Ermedi Demirovic is through one-on-one. Gulácsi is quick off his line, but the SCF striker is still able to dink the ball over him and Josko Gvardiol can't quite hook it off the line.
Second-half highlights:
46th minute:
No changes from either side as we prepare to get back underway.
58th minute:
Domenico Tedesco makes a triple sub, bringing on Dani Olmo, Andre Silva and Benny Henrichs for Kevin Kampl, Yussuf Poulsen and Nordi Mukiele.
73rd minute:
A series of passes sees us play our way through the Freiburg midfield, with the ball eventually landing with Dani Olmo. His shot sails wide of goal.
75th minute:
Emil Forsberg steps up to take the free kick and sends it into the box. Henrichs isn’t able to fully connect with the ball, as it’s saved by Flekken.
76th Minute:
Silva picks out Forsberg inside the box, as he forces Flekken into making another save.
77th minute:
Leipzig remain on the attack, with Silva getting off a free header inside the box. His effort isn’t strong enough to pose a real threat, however.
79th minute:
Dominik Szoboszlai comes on for Forsberg. Ten minutes left to turn this game around!
90th minute, GOAL!
A last-minute equaliser sends the crowd wild at the Red Bull Arena! Angeliño’s perfect first touch at the edge of the penalty area allows him to drive into the box and smash the ball into the bottom right corner to rescue a point for RBL.
