Draw in the final home game!

RB Leipzig showed strong morale after going behind on Bundesliga Matchday 33 against SV Werder Bremen and earned a 1-1 draw.

The game got off to a dogged start. Bremen, who were still hoping for a place in Europe next season, were fully commitment and soon rewarded: After a cross from Milos Veljkovic, Nicolas Seiwald headed the ball into his own net (36'). Shortly before half-time, Yussuf Poulsen had a great chance to equalise, but was denied by Bremen goalkeeper Michael Zetterer (45'+4).

The second half began with a huge headed chance from Christoph Baumgartner, but Zetterer was able to make the save again (46'). Just past the hour, the visiting goalkeeper was finally defeated when substitute Benjamin Sesko fired home from the end of the box to make 1-1. Eljif Elmas missed the goal with a curling shot late on (86') and the game ended without a winner.

22nd Minute: Gulacsi is there

Felix Agu plays a high ball into our penalty area, Castello Jr. can't get to it, but Bremen's Romano Schmid is also there a little too late. Peter Gulacsi is there and safely grabs the ball.

That's annoying! Bremen take the lead: Milos Veljkovic crosses from the right into the penalty area, Nicolas Seiwald wants to clear ahead of Nick Woltemade, but heads the ball into his own net, making it unstoppable for Peter Gulacsi.

There was a great chance to equalise! Mohamed Simakan crosses sharply from the right into the penalty area, Bremen keeper Michael Zetterer pushes the ball away. Yussuf Poulsen is there, but his attempt from close range is quelled by Zetterer.

Shortly after the restart, a huge chance for RBL! After a long ball, Mohamed Simakan heads into the centre from the left. Then Christoph Baumgartner heads powerfully towards the goal, but the Werder goalkeeper raises his arms and is able to direct the ball over the goal. Keep it up, guys!

There's the equalizer for RBL and Benjamin Sesko continues his incredible run! Mohamed Simakan heads a cross from Nicolas Seiwald perfectly from the right for the attacker, who fires right under the crossbar from the edge of the box!

76th Minute: Long-range Openda shot

Lois Openda takes heart from more than 20 meters out and just shoots it. But the shot is out of place and the ball flies clear to the right of the goal.

Substitute Eljif Elmas tries a shot from the left side. Good attempt, but unfortunately our midfielder missed the corner of the goal by about a metre.

Shortly before the end it becomes very dangerous again. After a corner, Jens Stage heads the ball, but Peter Gulacsi reacts well and prevents the defeat.
