This is "FUSSBALLLIEBE"!

That's the name of the official match ball for this summer's European Football Championship. And exactly 100 days before the start of EURO 2024 with four games in Leipzig, the ball has already caused great joy.

900 of these balls were sent to the Saxon Football Association, which is now distributing them to football clubs, schools and inclusion projects in our region. At the start of this great campaign, the first “football loves” were handed out at an event at the Egidius Braun sports school - including by Anja Mittag, individual coach of the RBL women and Leipzig EURO ambassador for sports and volunteers.

The colors of the European Championship match ball are inspired by the colors of the 24 participating nations.

Anja Mittag

  • “It is wonderful that Leipzig is establishing itself as a football destination beyond Germany’s borders. RB Leipzig’s application to host the finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2026 and 2027 also shows that a lot has been achieved here beyond the European Championships.”
