Goal facts:
- André Silva scored from the penalty spot in the 11th minute to make it 1-0 in Stuttgart. That was his eighth league goal of the season, with six of them coming across the last seven games.
- This was also the earliest goal of the season for Leipzig in the Bundesliga. We most recently found the net earlier in a league match on 16th January 2021 in a 2-2 draw at Wolfsburg (Nordi Mukiele in the 5th minute).
- We’ve scored six of our seven penalties this season (3x Emil Forsberg, 3x André Silva).
- André Silva stepped up to take a penalty for the 11th time in the Bundesliga and maintained his 100% record from the spot.
