RB Leipzig bid farewell to Justin Kluivert

Loan for Netherlands U21s player comes to an end | 27 appearances for die Roten Bullen | Four goals and one assist for RB Leipzig

Thank you, Justin Kluivert! After a year with die Roten Bullen, the Dutch winger’s loan spell has come to an end. The 22-year-old arrived in Saxony from AS Roma last October and made a total of 27 appearances in the colours of RB Leipzig during that time.

The technically gifted Kluivert played predominantly on the flanks during his loan and was able to get on the scoresheet four times in total. The first of these came shortly before the half time whistle in the thrilling 3-3 draw away at record champions FC Bayern Munich. The youngster also netted the third and eventual winning goal in the 3-2 home victory against Manchester United. In addition to this, he also set up a goal for his teammates.

Kluivert helped RB Leipzig finish as runners-up in the Bundesliga last season, as well as reaching the final of the DFB-Pokal and the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
