Mainz again on the first day
Just like last season, RB Leipzig will begin the season with a game against 1. FSV Mainz 05 | First home game against VfB Stuttgart | Big games against Bayern and Dortmund both at home before the winter break | DFB-Pokal draw on 4th July | UEFA Champions League begins on 14th September
First Bundesliga game on the road
The Bundesliga schedule is out for 2021/22! The DFL published the fixture list for the new season on Friday, 25th June.
Our first league game of the new season is away to 1. FSV Mainz 05 on the weekend of the 14th August. A week later, we will play our first home game against VfB Stuttgart.
Full schedule out
The winter break will begin after our matchday 17 home game against Arminia Bielefeld on 17th December 2021. The only midweek fixture of the season is scheduled just before that (matchday 16 on 14th/15th December). The Bundesliga then returns in 2022 from 7th January.
We're raring to go and can't wait to start training in two weeks.
DFB-Pokal draw scheduled
The first round of the DFB-Pokal will be played on the weekend of the 6th August. The draw is on Sunday, 4th July from 18:30 CEST
A month later on 14th September, the group stage of the UEFA Champions League will begin. The draw for that will take place on 26th August at 18:00 CEST. Leipzig are once again in pot three, so they can expect another tough draw.
