We’re currently averaging over three goals scored per game.
A new record! We have never previously scored more goals in our opening four Bundesliga games of the season (13). Our previous best was ten.
Xavi has seven goal contributions in the league after four matchdays, equalling Erling Haaland and Paco Alcácer’s Bundesliga record.
Alongside Xavi, new arrivals Lois Openda and Benjamin Šeško have both scored three competitive goals. Šeško scored each of those goals as a substitute.
We now have more goalscoring threats within the squad, with nine different players finding the back of the net already.
The goals have been shared throughout the whole team. Three goals have been scored by defenders, ten by midfielders, and six by attackers.
We have been very dangerous from dead-ball situations and have scored five of our 19 goals this season directly from set pieces.
The depth of the squad has already come in handy, with head coach Marco Rose having used 20 players so far. Eight of our ten new arrivals from the summer have appeared for the club – only third-choice goalkeeper Leopold Zingerle and the injured El Chadaille Bitshiabu are yet to feature.
We have kept three clean sheets in six competitive games, conceding just five goals in total.
