A successful end to pre-season!

RB Leipzig defeated Spanish side UD Las Palmas 3-0 in their final friendly before the Supercup against FC Bayern next weekend (12th August, 20:45 CEST).

The Leipzig pressing continuously put the opponents under pressure in the first half and two ball recoveries led to two goals for RBL. David Raum set up Lois Openda for 1-0 (23’). Xaver Schlager then provided the assist for Openda again in the 35th minute.

Xavi Simons and Benjamin Sesko both impressed in the second half. Sesko made it 3-0 with a header after 54 minutes. The visitors pushed men forward, however- Willi Orban and Mo Simakan both defended well to keep a clean sheet. RBL thoroughly deserved the victory following an intense game.
