US tour 2024: Second stop – Miami!

From New York to Miami! 

RB Leipzig will spend the second part of their US tour in Florida. After visiting New York (28th July to 1st August), Marco Rose and his players will be based in the ‘Sunshine State’ from 1st to 3rd August.
 

Friendly against Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers

RB Leipzig will play a friendly during their time in Miami at the Chase Stadium on 3rd August (19:30 local time – 4th August, 01:30 German time). The opponents will be Wolverhampton Wanderers, who finished 14th in the Premier League last season. TICKETS

Wolves have two former RBL strikers in their squad in Hee-Chan Hwang (2020-2021) and Matheus Cunha (2018-2020). Leipzig’s first game of the US tour will be on 31st July at 20:00 local time (1st August, 02:00 German time) against Aston Villa at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey. TICKETS
 

Activities planned with Inter Miami CF and Red Bull

Marco Rose’s side will train where the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suaréz, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets usually do. During the trip to Miami, RB Leipzig will be based at the Training Center in Fort Lauderdale. 

Several joint activities have been planned in the region together with MLS side Inter Miami CF, whose ownership group includes football legend David Beckham, and Red Bull.

Summer update

RB Leipzig have now been able to update their overall plan for pre-season. The players will return to the training ground at Cottaweg on Monday, 8th July. 

The friendly against Rot-Weiß Erfurt (behind closed doors), which was already announced, will be played on 19th July. The team will train in Leipzig until 27th July, before heading to the States a day later. The first competitive game of the new season is set to take place on 17th August (15:30 CEST), away to Rot-Weiss Essen in the first round of the DFB-Pokal.
