In 2018 we debuted the first black RBL jersey from Nike; this spring, the black jersey is coming back – and in our exclusive “Leipzig on fire” look, paying homage to the pre-match stadium experience so established by RB Leipzig fans –– with the flames to match.
Black and Fire
The team will wear the limited-edition kit for the first time on Saturday in the home game against Borussia Mönchengladbach (kick-off: 6:30 p.m.) in the Red Bull Arena. But you can get it online now or at the official RBL club shops in Leipzig.

Leipzig on Fire
The story of "Leipzig on fire":
- The “Leipzig on fire” story starts on our first Pokal-winning night on May 21, 2022. The legendary song “Freed from desire” by Italian singer GALA is featured on our team’s party playlist – playing in the dressing room and on the team bus, at the party in the club in Berlin and at the big cup party in Leipzig.
It was pretty obvious at that point that our cup victory song now belongs permanently in the Red Bull Arena. Since the beginning of the 2022/23 season, the tradition has kicked off home games in the stadium - and spills over to our fans more and more from game to game.
Our fan stand around our capos fills in the lyrics. “Leipzig on fire – RasenBallsport mein Verein." It immediately became a new fan ritual and chant.
Before, during and after the game, “Leipzig on fire” has inspired us on the field. And it inspired us to create our first special jersey for our fans this season. So we are excited to introduce the black "On Fire" jersey.
