"Hats off to every single player on the pitch tonight"
Marco Rose, Dominik Szoboszlai, Emil Forsberg and Xaver Schlager react to the 3-1 win against Freiburg
"Freiburg are an extremely strong team. Hats off to every single player that was on the pitch tonight. Overall, I think it was a deserved win for us. We expected that Freiburg would go with a back-three. We didn’t want to give them much room, and wanted to limit their chances. We’re happy that we managed to see out the win and reward ourselves. We want to do the same in Bremen now. I wish Freiburg all the best for the rest of their Europa League campaign and in their final Bundesliga game this year.”
"We work hard every day in order to keep improving, which is evident out on the pitch. We try to take everything on board, since it’s possible to learn from every game. We made sure all three points stayed here tonight, and will now travel to Bremen looking to win again.
Like everyone else, I work hard in order to start every game. The most important thing for me is that the team wins. Plus, I want Christo to end the season as the top goalscorer.
I play football with love. If I didn’t, then I wouldn’t play football. I love my team – that’s all that I need.”
"It was nice to win tonight. It was important for us to celebrate one last home win with our fans this year. Tonight wasn’t an easy game, but we did a great job. I’m proud of the lads for how we’ve been playing recently. That’s the result of us working hard in training every day and wanting to improve. We always want to help each other out, which is the only way it’s possible to be successful.
We work hard and need to play as a team every single day, and not only during games – be it at training or wherever we might be together. We need to support each other and have fun together.”
RBL qualify for round of 16 in the Champions League!
"We feel really good right now. The mood is really, really positive – no matter if it’s in training, games or off the pitch. Everyone is working hard and giving it their all. That’s what makes football fun. We’re able to draw the energy we need to continue on from our wins, and it gives us a lot of strength. We want to win in Bremen on the weekend as well.
You have to play with intensity against Freiburg and be smart with your tactics. I think we did a good job of that today. If you manage to implement your game plan then that increases your likelihood of winning. We saw that once again today. We were playing with a lot of confidence. Being able to celebrate a win today is great, but tomorrow we already have to shift our focus to the next game.
Your body gets used to the workload and I feel really good. I have no complaints. It’s mid-November and there’s a break coming up soon. I don’t think I’ve fully realised that just yet!”
