"We need to be more focused"
Head coach Domenico Tedesco and players Emil Forsberg and Xaver Schlager on the defeat to Liverpool.
Domenico Tedesco:
- "We expected more a week ahead of our first competitive game. Losing is one thing, but losing by such a margin is another. The individual errors that we made in our build-up play hurt. We have to cut back on the errors and be more focused. We still have a week left of pre-season."
Xaver Schlager:
- "Normally football is enjoyable but it wasn’t today. We have a lot of work ahead of us to make sure something like that doesn’t happen again. We will analyse the goals. There’s a lot we can take from the game and we’ll learn a lot.
I always settle in well to new surroundings. The pre-season is intense and we’re getting stuck into it. It’s about getting better and being successful together."
Emil Forsberg:
- "It was not a good game and not a good day. We made too many mistakes and lost possession too easily. We didn’t have any control on the game and we weren’t patient enough. You can never get going like that and it’s too back and forth.
We played against a really good team tonight and next week we’ll face another one. In the Supercup we have a really important game ahead of us and we have to show that we’re up for it and deliver a better performance."
