!NieWieder: Remembrance day for victims of National Socialism
27th January marks the 78th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp | Remembrance Day for the victims of the terrors of the National Socialists
27th January marks the 78th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp. On this day, we come together to remember the victims of the atrocities of the National Socialist regime.
In German football, the "!Niewieder" (!Never Again) initiative was launched in 2004 as a remembrance day. Since then, individuals, fan groups and projects, clubs, associations and institutions from within the sport have commemorated the victims and their families and are committed to a dignified culture of remembrance and stadiums free of discrimination.
This year, we remember in particular the women who were persecuted and murdered for their resistance to National Socialism.
On the pitch and in all aspects of life, there is no place for discrimination, exclusion and intolerance. Therefore, RB Leipzig once again say: Never Again. We must all do our part.
