Janis Blaswich begins training!
You’re the first one to do a bit of light pre-season work. What did you get up to on the pitch?
It was just a little warm-up, a bit to get settled in. We did a bit of work in the gym, some preparation, then just out onto the pitch.
It just does some good to do a little bit, start a little earlier and then build up slowly.
You’re now living in the most beautiful city in Germany. Have you settled in well yet? Have you been able to see a bit of Leipzig?
Everything's still quite new. I've got to know a little but not a lot yet. I still need the sat-nav to get to the training ground.
I'm really looking forward to the top standards here.
What should our fans know about you? How would you describe yourself in three words?
Away from the pitch I'd say I'm friendly, relaxed and open. On the pitch I'm a bit louder and also more emotional. But I also enjoy myself.
Why did you choose RB Leipzig in the end?
I'm just really happy to be here and a part of a superb club. It's one of the best clubs in Germany. I'm really looking forward to the top standards here. I'm just really fired up to get going and I'm really happy.
What are the highlights from the upcoming season for you?
We have one final friendly against Liverpool. That's a great test for us before the season gets going. Of course, also the Champions League. That's brilliant; it's really good for us.
