Dani Olmo on...
… his rehab programme:
"It always feels terrible when you are not able to get on the pitch and help the team. Especially in a situation like this, where we have not been rewarded with points for the way we have played. After the roller-coaster of last season, I was an important player for the team. But that’s how it is in football. Now, I am in light training and hope that I can get back on the pitch soon.
In a situation where you want to come back quickly you have to be clever and listen to your body as well as your knee. Then you take it step by step.
You make as much pain-free progress as possible and do lots of knee exercises on the floor, especially jumps, but also some running. You pay attention to how your knee reacts and then you increase the workload day by day."
... his return to the pitch:
"Last Thursday I was back working on the pitch and it felt good. Obviously I didn’t start with sprints or anything like that. It was just about getting a feel for it again.
I feel really good, am confident and it is only a question of time. You have to get back into a rhythm and be ready.
I can’t wait to play again and to train with my teammates, my friends. And obviously then I will be an option again. I would like to come back even stronger and help the team to win games."
