Record-chaser Nkunku named as Player of the Month for the third time in a row!
Nkunku once again named as Player of the Month | No player has ever been named Player of the Month three times in a row until now | Christo’s fourth POTM award this season
Yet another record for Christo! Christopher Nkunku has been named as the EA Sports and Bundesliga Player of the Month for the fourth time this season. The Frenchman, who has been nominated a total of six times this campaign, has won the award for the last three months (February, March, April and before that in October). This is a feat that no other player has achieved. Before now, only Dortmund’s Erling Haaland had won four Player of the Month awards, but these were spread over two seasons. This is another record that our talent will be looking to break outright.
This is the sixth time an RBL player has picked up the award. Timo Werner won it as a Leipzig player on two occasions, back in November and December 2019. Christo is also the only Frenchman to have won the award.
Our offensive ace is one of the most dangerous players in Europe, with 54 direct goal contributions in 50 games.
Also nominated for this month’s award were FC Bayern’s Serge Gnabry, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic, SC Freiburg’s Christian Günter, FC Union’s Grischa Prömel and FC Köln’s Mark Uth.
