Frankfurt equaliser in the final minute: 1-1 draw for RBL
Bundesliga Matchday 10 | Eintracht Frankfurt equalise in the last minute against RB Leipzig | Poulsen with the opener | Tuta header in the final seconds to level | Kampl makes his 100th Bundesliga appearance for RBL
RBL’s wait for an away win continues. Jesse Marsch’s side were made make do with a 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt after a last minute equaliser from the home side. Yussuf Poulsen gave Leipzig the lead in the first half, before Tuta headed in from a free kick in the final seconds.
RBL enjoyed more of the play in the first half, as the hosts looked for mistakes and counter attacking opportunitites. Frankfurt came close to opening the scoring when Filip Kostić's long range looper hit the crossbar (18'). Jesse Marsch's team looked to surge forward at pace and with few ball contacts after winning possession, but lacked precision in the final third and with their shooting. Christopher Nkunku's back heel was saved by Trapp (20'), but there was reason to cheer fifteen minutes later. Dominik Szoboszlai's corner from the left was flicked on by Willi Orban at the front post, before Yussuf Poulsen turned home at the far post (35') to give Leipzig a first-half lead.
The second half saw less action at either end. The first dangerous chance came from Nkunku (69'), but his shot was saved impressively at point-blank rage by Trapp, before Szoboszlai's rebound missed the target. The home side looked to shift to a more attacking approach but RBL did well in limiting their chances to a minimum. In the 89th minute, Emil Forsberg had the chance to put the game beyond doubt put shot over the bar from close range. In the final seconds of the game, Tuta headed home Kostic's free-kick to equalise. The draw sees Leipzig's Bundesliga unbeaten run stretch to in six games. Marsch's team sit in eighth place with 15 points.
Kevin Kampl made his 100th Bundesliga appearance for RB Leipzig, while Dani Olmo came off the bench in the 89th minute to make his return from injury.

Full time
A draw in Frankfurt. Despite having the game under control and creating good chances thanks to quick transitions and forward play, the Red Bulls were once again not clinical enough in front of goal and have been punished by Eintracht Frankurt. A decent performance goes unrewarded and the points are shared.
