"A very intense game and a fair result"
RB Leipzig draw 1-1 with Atalanta in the Europa League | Reaction from head coach Domenico Tedesco, Willi Orbán, Péter Gulácsi and Konrad Laimer on the quarter final first leg
Domenico Tedesco:
- "It was a very intense game, just as we had expected. Atalanta were very robust, intense and ran a lot. That makes it difficult, especially after they go ahead. We had a bit more possession than we expected in the first half. In the second half we turned it up a bit. It was a very open game with chances at both ends, so I think the result is fair."
Willi Orbán:
- "It was a tactically interesting game, and the second half was particularly fun with a lot of chances at both ends. We perhaps weren’t very convincing in the first half, but I thought we were very good in the second. We created chances and with a bit of luck we’d have won that game 2-1. At the end of the day, it’s a decent starting point to go into the second leg and I’m looking forward to the game in Bergamo."

Péter Gulácsi:
- "We played against a strong team and it was an even game. I had more to do than I usually do. We knew before the game that playing against Atalanta isn't easy. The second leg will definitely be an interesting game and we will do everything to reach the next round."
Konrad Laimer:
- "It was a very intense game. There were a lot of chances at both ends. I think we should have scored one or two more goals, but we also could have conceded one or two more as well. It was a good performance from both teams. There are definitely some things we can do better in the second leg. Next week we want to be in the next round."
