RB Leipzig’s 15 goalscorers this season
Only three teams have had more goalscorers than Leipzig this season | 15 players have found the net for the Bulls | 57 goals after 26 matchdays is our second-best return since promotion
RB Leipzig have scored 57 goals after the first 26 matchdays of this Bundesliga season, an average of almost exactly two goals per game. We’ve only ever had more goals on the board at this stage once before since promotion to the Bundesliga: 63 goals in 2019/20.
Let’s take a look back at our goalscorers this season and compare ourselves to the other Bundesliga teams.

It’s no secret that Christopher Nkunku is our top goalscorer this season. The Frenchman is enjoying a phenomenal campaign and has already found the net 15 times in the league from just 26 games. Incredibly, Nkunku has scored two thirds of his 39 goals in all competitions for the club this season.
Striker Andre Silva is our second-top goalscorer in 2021/22 with nine Bundesliga goals. The Portugal international, who bagged 28 goals in 32 league games for Eintracht Frankfurt last season, took a while to get going in Leipzig. Since Domenico Tedesco took over, however, the forward has flourished. Having only notched three goals across the opening 14 matchdays, Silva has netted seven times in 12 league games under Tedesco.
The remainder of our goals have been fairly evenly spread out across the rest of the team. Yussuf Poulsen has scored five times, Dominik Szoboszlai and Emil Forsberg on four occasions and Amadou Haidara three times. Josko Gvardiol, Benjamin Henrichs, Dani Olmo and Angeliño have all found the net twice, whilst Konrad Laimer, Willi Orbán, Nordi Mukiele, Hugo Novoa and Mohamed Simakan all have one goal to their name.
Overall, 15 players have scored for RB Leipzig this season in the Bundesliga. Only three teams can boast more goalscorers, the side with the most being TSG Hoffenheim (17). They are followed by 1. FSV Mainz 05 and VfB Stuttgart (both 16). By comparison, Arminia Bielefeld and SpVgg Greuther Fürth have had the fewest number of goalscorers (both 8).
