Our summer schedule
RB Leipzig’s schedule for the next few months | Start of the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and Champions League, plus the Supercup | Training begins as the lads start camp
The summer break is officially over! The first of our lads have returned to training as Angeliño, Janis Blaswich, Marcel Halstenberg, Kevin Kampl, Nordi Mukiele and Mo Simakan undertook medical and performance tests on Saturday morning.
However, a number of players will enjoy an extended break to recover after the international fixtures. The summer break has been particularly short for those of our players representing their countries. 17 of our lads were in action in the UEFA Nations League, the first four matchdays of which took place between June 1st and 14th.
Our summer schedule:
Pre-season will begin in earnest on 27th June at Cottaweg. The lads will then travel to Austria for a training camp from 10th to 17th July. Our friendly schedule contains a cracker against Liverpool on 21st July. Kick-off at the Red Bull Arena is set for 19.15 CEST.
The short summer break will end with the Supercup against FC Bayern at the Red Bull Arena on 30th July (20:30 CEST).
The first matchday of the new Bundesliga season is a week later between 5th and 7th August.
The first round of the DFB-Pokal is scheduled for 29th July to 1st August, however due to the Supercup, both us and FC Bayern will play our first-round ties on 30th/31st August. RB Leipzig will play Teutonia 05 Ottensen on August 30th. The match will take place at the Paul Greifzu Stadium in Dessau.
We will once again play in the UEFA Champions League next season. Matchday 1 will be on 6th/7th September. The group stage will be drawn on 25th August.
