Marco Kurth no longer part of RBL coaching staff
The 43-year-old has been released from his role as assistant coach | No one will be appointed in his place
Marco Kurth will not be a part of the RBL coaching staff going into the second half of the season. After constructive talks during the winter break, the 43-year-old has been released from his role as assistant coach.
Both parties will discuss the possibility of working together again in due course. RB Leipzig would like to thank Marco Kurth for all that he has done for the club over the past four and a half years, and the enthusiasm with which he worked alongside the team.
The 43-year-old joined Leipzig as a youth team coach in the summer of 2017. He was head coach of the U16s (2017/18), the U17s (2018-2020) and the U19s (2020/21), before moving up to the first team coaching staff this season.
Kürth’s position will not be refilled. Accordingly, head coach Domenico Tedesco will be supported by assistant coaches Andreas Hinkel and Max Urwantschky, goalkeeping coach Frederik Gößling, as well as fitness coaches Ruwen Faller, Kai Kraft and Daniel Behlau.
