BRIAN BROBBEY
Brian Bobbey transferred to Leipzig this summer from the renowned Ajax academy having already featured for Ajax’s first team, making 12 appearances for the Dutch champions and scoring three goals. He had so far played four times for RB Leipzig, most recently in our Champions League opener against Manchester City. He also plays up front for Netherlands U21s.
ILAIX MORIBA
We secured the services of the exceptional 18-year-old Ilaix Moriba shortly before the end of the summer transfer window. The young midfielder joined us from FC Barcelona, and the Spanish U19 international is waiting to make his debut for us now he has already trained under Jesse Marsch. He played in 14 La Liga games last season alongside Lionel Messi and Frenkie de Jong, registering one goal and three assists in the Spanish top flight.
Joško Gvardiol
Despite being just 19 years of age, Joško Gvardiol already has a lot of experience after joining the club last winter from his home team Dinamo Zagreb, where he made his debut in the Croatian top flight aged just 18. He was loaned back to the club for the second half of the season to get crucial match practice, but has joined the first-team squad this summer and has made three appearances in an RB Leipzig shirt. He was also a part of Croatia’s European Championship squad this summer with the likes of Luka Modric.
