23,500 fans permitted to attend Bundesliga home opener at Red Bull Arena
Everything to know about ticketing and the hygiene concept | Digital access
The Leipzig health authority have approved RB Leipzig's protective & hygiene concept, which was created in cooperation with the fans' association and the Fanprojekt Leipzig. As a result, the Red Bull Arena will be permitted to open at 50 per cent capacity for the upcoming games.
Following the ongoing construction, our stadium now has a capacity of 47,069. Up to 23,500 fans will be permitted to attend the Bundesliga home games against VfB Stuttgart and Bayern München, provided the seven-day incidence rate in Leipzig is below 35 on the day of the match.

Hygiene measures and concept:
Proof of vaccination, recovery or negative test:
Spectators will only be permitted to attend the matches provided they can provide proof of one of the following: being fully vaccinated, a negative rapid test taken no more than 24 hours prior to the game, or of having previously recovered from COVID-19. Negative PCR tests must date back to no more than 48 hours before the end of the match.
The requirements above do not apply to those aged 7 and younger. Rapid test results will only be accepted if they have been done by a certified testing centre. At-home test results will not be accepted.
Digital access:
In order to speed up entry to the stadium, proof of vaccination, recovery or negative test must be presented digitally using either the Corona-Warn-App or the Covpass-App. Stewards will be set up in an external security barrier to check this, before allowing spectators in to scan their tickets at the gate.
Should it be not possible to present digital proof of vaccination, recovery or negative test, fans must present their papers to the Service Centre (located at the main ticket booth at the Stadionvorplatz or the Fanhaus Jahnallee).
After being granted entry, fans will be given an armband.
Wait times may occur, which is why we recommend that you have digital proof of vaccination, recovery or negative test readily available.
Masks:
It is mandatory to wear a medical mask inside the Red Bull Arena. Masks must be worn at all times when moving around inside the stadium, and can only be removed once you are seated.
Children under the age of 7 are exempt from this ruling.
Seating:
Seats will be allocated in clusters of 12. Up to 12 fans are permitted to sit in each cluster. Each cluster will be separated by a row of empty seats on the left, right, front and back of the cluster in order to ensure social distancing.
Until further notice, no standing seats will be allocated.
Personalised tickets:
All tickets will be personalised to each spectator and will only be available digitally. Random checks will be conducted at the entrance to determine whether the information on the ticket matches the respective identification document.
Entry to the stadium:
Entry to the Red Bull Arena will be possible two hours prior to kick-off.
In order to prevent lines from forming, each spectator will be given a specific time slot to access the stadium. Please only arrive during your time slot. You will be informed about your time slot after purchasing your ticket.
Social distancing:
Spectators are asked to keep a minimum distance of 1.5m upon entry to the Red Bull Arena.
Hand santizer:
Sanitizer stations will be set up in all areas of the stadium.
