"We put on a fireworks display"
RB Leipzig storm to a 5-0 win away Club Brugge in the Champions League | Achim Beierlorzer, Kevin Kampl, Emil Forsberg and André Silva give their thoughts following the win
Achim Beierlorzer:
- "We're absolutely delighted with the win, which was so important for us. We worked as a team and put in a brilliant performance. The mentality the lads went about the game with was fantastic.
The players worked for each other. We said before the game that we wanted to do it for all the guys that couldn't be here because of injuries and other things. It was nice to see the team make that happen."
Kevin Kampl:
- "We wanted to show the coach and the lads who couldn't be here tonight that they can count on us. We put on a fireworks display in the first half. The way we pushed each other at every moment was incredible - I haven't witnessed that very often. It was a superb performance, which feels quite liberating right now.
Josep Martínez gave us a real feeling of security at the back and was good on the ball too. Brian Brobbey was a beast up front; he held up the ball well and threw himself into challenges. I'm delighted for both of them that they were able to put in performances like that when they're called upon. That's testament to them as players."
Emil Forsberg:
- "It was a brilliant performance - I'm so proud of the team. We implemented our game plan to a tee. It's not every day that you score four goals in one half, but we deserved to. Now we have an important final game against Manchester City."
André Silva:
- "We gave it our all from the first minute and worked hard for the result. We deserved to win 5-0. It's always nice to score in the Champions League; it's an incredible feeling. However, the whole team deserves praise for their performance. Now we have the chance to finish third and we want to take it."
